Being a student, times are tough and we’re constantly strapped for cash. So I’ve been looking longingly on the internet at things I can’t afford for Christmas and thinking about what to buy my sisters and friends on a budget. All of the below items are available online for £10 or less, and make a great present, either on their own or with something else.
1. £10.00 – Mini Straighteners from Topshop
Available in black, white and leopard print these are a perfect travel size for when going to visit friends. Or to stash in your bag and smuggle into the loo’s at uni to touch up dampened styles on a rainy day. Topshop also offer other colours and patterns for £12.00 and a larger size for £20.00.
This matching scarf and bobble hat are adorable and perfect for this winter’s weather. Maybe best not to be too matchy-matchy and wear them both together, but black and white go with everything, so these will too! I just wish they did mittens too!
Available in Clear, Candy Floss, Peach, Plum Juice and Nude, this lip gloss smells amazing and also boosts your pout. It tingles when it goes on and contains “scientifically proven plumping superfill microspheres that explode in volume up to 10x when they come in contact with the water. They’re like tiny, dehydrated little sponges that expand when you put them onto your lips.” – Boots.
New Look have a huge range of purses available, but the ones which really caught my eye were the flatcases. They are more compact than most purses, but also have tonnes of room inside, with pockets for cards, cash and change. These are two of my favourites, with pretty floral patterns.
These bracelets are so cute, simple and pretty. My favourite is the gold version with little red hearts, but the silver version is also great for those who wear more silver jewelry. This is definitely at the top of my Christmas list!
