White Lace for Winter

So many celebrities are opting for the white lace look this winter season, so I thought it was fitting to choose 5 amazing items all on  a low budget, so us paupers can try and recreate the look for upcoming Christmas parties!

1. Embroidered Dress by Pins & Needles £52.00 (available from Urban Outfitters)

So, this is cheating a bit as it’s embroidered, not lace, but the pattern could be easily mistaken for lace, and the shape of the dress is so stunning. With an exposed metal zip in the back, the softness of the shape and fabric is beautifully contrasted.

2. Oasis Lace Skirt £40.00 (available from ASOS.com)

This skirt is sexy and sleek. It could be worn either with a white or nude vest top and bare legs to create a classy nighttime look, or with black tights and boots for the day time.

3. Yumi Cap-sleeve Dress £50.00 (Available from Very.co.uk)

This dress is not quite white, but the creamy colour is gorgeous, it looks amazing with a tan. It’s super short, so there’s a lot of leg on show, but the fact it’s a high neck makes up for that. It’s another one that can either be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

4. Flower Lace Dress £25.00 from Dorothy Perkins.

With a high neck at the front but a low scooping back, this dress makes a real statement. With black tights and Sky-high black heels this is the perfect christmas party look on a budget.

5. One Shoulder Dress £45.00 from Miss Selfridge.

Again, not quite white… But near enough!! One shoulder is very in this season, and the embroidery on the shoulder adds a little something extra to this lacy number. The silvery tint to the dress adds a christmassy feel and would look amazing in a club.

And Finally…. Why try and recreate a look when you can simply buy it?! Taylor Swift wore this gorgeous crochet dress by Reiss to the 2010 Radio 1 Teen Awards in November. Available from the Reiss website for £195, still expensive, but definitely more affordable than the likes of Marchesa!  Click here to buy the dress!
