With orange being the new statement colour this season, it’s time to ditch the red dress and trade it in for a more vibrant model. Celebrities are also loving the trend.
Here are a few of my favourite pieces in tangerine, pumpkin, saffron, vermilion and apricot. I know that orange can be a scary colour, but with a great natural tan (you don’t want to match the dress you’re wearing) it can add a touch of vibrancy and p-zazz to your spring wardrobe. Remember with this trend, the brighter, the better!
This cute little shift is simple, but vibrant and perfect for spring! The dress has a keyhole fastening in the back and the loose fitting form will flatter all figures. It could be worn with a skinny waist belt and black tights for a day look, or wear it with bare legs and huge heels for a statement evening look.
My housemate has this dress in deep berry colour and it looks gorgeous on. It will flatter all figures and looks great with a waist belt. Wear it with black tights and boots for daytime and then change to a pair of sky-high heels for an evening out. I love the contrast zip in the back and the flatteringly tucked front will conceal any lumps and bumps you may wish to hide after a heavy Christmas.
This is a more subtle orange, but still on trend. With a loose fitted style, but short to show off your legs, this casual dress is perfect teamed with sandals or simple flip flops for a days shopping. I love the tapered back and exposed zip, also the cuffed sleeves add a little something extra. It will look great cinched in with a waist belt or left loose and comfy.
This super vibrant tangerine top really makes a statement. Plus it’s cashmere, so it’s sure to be luxuriously soft! Wear it tucked into high waisted skinny black jeans with a blazer, or over leggings for a loose casual look. Dress it up by tucking it into a highwaisted black mini with high heels and chunky bangles.
At only £39.00 plus with 20% for students at the moment in Miss Selfridge, this dress is a bargain, and stunning to boot. The rusty orange colour makes a statement without being too bright and the draped cape top is flattering and very on trend. Wear with chunky bangles and bit heels for a night out.
