Top 5: Trends for SS11: Tribal Print

Tribal print rocked the runway for this season, whether in black and white or vibrant colours and patterns, it’s a winner with several celebrities too.

Heidi Klum :: Lauren Conrad :: Nina Dobrev :: Jessica Szohr :: Kaley Cuoco

The highstreet stores have started following suit, here are my top 5 favourite tribal buys…

1. Brown Print Prom Dress – £44.99 – River Island.

Although not technically tribal print, this dress has all the right colours and shapes and is a really pretty print. The autumnal colours are gorgeous for brunettes and the shape of the dress is so cute for a day look. Wear with ankle boots and a cute cream cardigan.

2. Mela Tribal Dress – £26.00 – New Look

I like the simplicity of this dress. It lets the print do all the talking, this shape will flatter any figure, pulling in at the waist and billowing over the hips and bum. It’s not too low cut which means that the fact it’s short is OK. Wear it with high heels and chunky bangles for an evening look, or team it with black tights, boots and a chunky knit beige cardigan for a cold spring day.

3. TFNC Print One Shoulder Cape Dress – £45.00 –

I love the print on this dress and the rusty colour. I also think that the drapery is very flattering, hiding any problem areas around the middle, but still showing off your legs. The one shoulder look is very sexy and with a great tan and pair of killer heels, you’ll be turning heads in this dress.

4. Black Tribal Print Harem Trousers – £25.00 – Dorothy Perkins

Personally, I’m not a fan of harem trousers, wouldn’t be caught dead in them, but I love the print on these and for those who can pull them off, these will look great with a simple white vest top tucked in and some flip flops or sandals for a super summery feel.

5. Woven Tribal Wallet – £18.00 – Urban Outfitters.

Keep your money safe in this vibrant colourful purse, it’s compact, but has loads of space for cash and cards.
