Vanessa Hudgens, Emily Browning and Malin Akerman dazzle at ‘Sucker Punch’ Premiere

I am more than just a little bit excited about this film.  Then to see that the ladies all looked gorgeous at the Premiere made me even more excited to see it!!  (Scroll to the bottom of the post for the Sucker Punch trailer).  Here are my favourite dresses from the premiere…

Vanessa Hudgens is a long way from High School Musical in this film, and she showed how she has matured since those days by wearing this sparkling backless Jenny Packham number.  The dress had a high neck, with a cut out back which looked stunning on the starlet with her wavey faux bob and red lip.

Emily Browning went for a gothic look at the premiere last night, with a heavy dark lip.  While this look is popular on the runway I’m not sure how well it translates to the red carpet, I think she just about managed to pull it off though.  Her Erdem lace dress on the other hand was perfection, especially when teamed with those killer nude Prada heels.  I also love her new cropped haircut with the gentle wave and trendy dip-dye roots look.

Malin Akerman looked stunning in a beautiful red Holmes & Yang dress.  The dress was simple with a gorgeous gold belt and the actresses tussled blonde hair and tan set off the gown perfectly.

Abbie Cornish‘s Amanda Wakeley cobalt blue gown was beautiful and the colour was bang on trend.  However I didn’t like her hair so much, it looked a tad drab and flat, with a dress like that, volume is needed, or a sleek up do, Abbie looked a little like she had been caught in the rain so her hair had deflated.

Jena Malone on the other hand looked horrible.  Sad but true, i thought her dress/top and skirt combo was all wrong for her skin colour and generally just a bit ugly.  I also think that her hair and make up made her look a lot older than she is, some one needs to tell her that baby blue/silver eye shadow up to the brow-line is never acceptable unless you are five and playing with Mummy’s make up, or Pat Butcher.  I also really wish she’d had a pedicure, naked nails in peep-toe shoes are a no-no in my book.  On the bright side her figure looked amazing…

Take a look at the trailer for one of my most anticipated films of the year.  Girl power at its best…
