PRIMARK: PREMIUM PJS AT A PETITE PRICE

I just can’t get enough of Primark at the moment! I went through a phase of massively turning my nose up at it and everything it stands for. While I still disagree with many of their ethics and would rather not think about where their products come from, I have to admit that there have been so many amazing fashions in there recently.

My recent favourites include their sexy new bralettes and lingerie ranges with all the lace you could ever want. And yesterday when I was shopping I spotted even more beautiful lace and silky lovelies for the ever pleasing price Primark offers. This time it’s all premium looking PJs – and I have to admit that the quality isn’t totally awful either! Take a look at some of the beauties that could be yours – and all less than £12!!

BE SEXY FOR LESS WITH PRIMARK

You know I love Primark. I wish I didn’t and I know it’s corrupt and all the rest, but a broke girl still wants to look nice!! And there are even more reasons to look nice with some of Primark’s new lacy and satin offerings…

I popped into Primark at Marble Arch yesterday after a lovely bike ride around Hyde Park in the sunshine – it was rude not to as I was just a few feet away! And while I was purchasing a few new knitwear staples, I spotted so many beautiful bralets and PJs which are sure to make any girl feel feminine and lovely whether it’s to impress their man or themselves! Take a look at some of my favourites, available in most stores…

GUESS WHO WENT TO PRIMARK AGAIN…?

So as you may already know from my post last week – Primark Last Night – I did a spot of shopping last week. WELL… On Sunday I returned to Primark on Oxford Street to return the dungarees I’d bought as sadly they are not made for tall people and not particularly comfortable in the downstairs region.

So there I am, innocently popping into Primark to return said dungarees, when I walked out with even more items – why does this always happen!?

So I bought a cute unicone Tshirt for £3, a maxi skirt for £5, some over-the-door heart hooks (below) for £2.50 and a Cactus print (below also) for £5. HAPPY DAYS – I had totaled LESS than the amount I spent on the dungarees anyway! WOOP!

BUT while I was there I also spotted LOTS of other lovely bits that were super tempting… As the kind, thoughtful soul I am I thought I would share them with you to fuel your browsing addictions…

My favourite (as always) was the Home Department. There are some seriously beautiful (and totally affordable) finds there and they’re all so on trend!pri home

  1. Cactus Print – £5 –  botanicals are so in this season too! This is now hanging in our lounge…
  2. 2 Pack Floral Round Storage Boxes – £4 – Love these colours and floral patterns, well done Primark!
  3. Pink Fiesta Paisley Cushion – £5 – cute cute cute!
  4. Over-door Heart hooks – £2.50 – these are actually super sturdy.
  5. Black Embroidered Pom Cushion – £7 – I looooove this one *insert heart eyes emoji here*.

I also spotted some beautiful lace items in the Lingerie and Nightwear sections… Perfect for a cheaper option if you’re going for the lace bralette and over sized shirt look!

Right – Black Longline Lace Bralette Set – £4
Soooooo pretty!!

They have also started to bring out their autumn and winter clothing, so there are lots of lush jumpers and wonderful coats appearing. I’m feeling too summery to get all excited about those at the moment, but go take a look in-store and let me know if you find any gems!

PRIMARK LAST NIGHT…

Last night I went to Primark on Oxford Street to return some bits I’d bought before holiday that didn’t fit. It was meant to be a quick get in, return, get out situation. Howeverrrrrrr…

There were SO many goodies in there! I left with a heavy bag and a lighter purse! While you can’t shop online at Primark, you can have a little online browse before you go in, so here are a few of the lovely bits I bought…

Primark

  1. Lightweight Cherry Blossom Bomber Jacket – £9
  2. Metallic Shell Top – £8
  3. Black Stretch Denim Dungarees – £15
  4. Grey Backpack – £14
  5. Widefit Block Heel Lace Up Sandals – £14
  6. Grey Co-ord Underwear Set – £5 (also available in black, white and baby pink)
  7. Denim A-line Skirt – £10 (I actually got this in a stonewashed denim, but they don’t have that online).

And it wasn’t just the clothing department that got me all excited. The home department is my FAVOURITE place in the whole shop! I got some reed diffusers for the bathrooms in sea salt and lavender (£1 each), I also got a soft soft blanket for the sofa (£5) and the below delights…

primark 2.png

  1. Set of 4 Plastic Embossed Coloured Tumblers – £4
  2. Fruit Shaped Reusable Ice Cubes – £1.50 (perfect if you don’t have an ice tray, want to jazz up a drink with some colour – or if you don’t want to dilute your wine!!)
  3. Unicorn Chalk Board – £2
  4. Set of 4 Clear Plastic Tumblers – £4

There was so much more in there that I wanted, but I was trying to maintain some control over myself AND my bank account! Take a look at the Primark website for some great products – they can’t promise that all items will be in your nearest store, but it’s fun to take a look and see what you’re on the look out for before going in!

Let me know if you get any goodies!

My first InDesign venture…

As part of my course at University we were required to write a feature article about something relating to Bournemouth.  I chose to write about the new Primark store which at the time had just opened.  After this we were asked to create  a layout mock-up using InDesign.  This was made just after christmas but it’s taken me ages to put it up here.

You can click on the image to view in a larger size.  This part of the assignment was more about the layout  and appearance of the piece than the content of the writing itself.  I feel that I have effectively displayed the article to make it look interesting and eye catching while also keeping the copy easy to read and access.
